Punta Las Marias is one of the more popular places to sail in the San Juan area. In the winter the north winds can bring mast-high waves at the reef break about 800 yards out, while during the spring and summer it is flat water sailing inside the reef break. Great for all forms of sailing. Rentals are available. Kind of like Cabarete, this is a good place to learn wave sailing.
